Being in New Zealand the first time was very daunting. But I was fortunate to meet a couple who were on their way back to Christchurch after they 2 weeks holiday in Malaysia.
Meet Bill and Sandy.
They are really nice folks who really had a lot to talk about with me. Me about Malaysia, and them about New Zealand and Christchurch. It was nice talking to them and was very fortunate to have met them.
They even allowed me a view of New Zealand from high above (since Sandy had the window seat). A lot of people were taking photos.
And here is a little trivia, New Zealand has a human population of 4 million, while the sheep population is more than 70 million? Could it really be so? Help me count the sheep can?
After that I took a shuttle instead of the bus to my backpackers as I knew I kinda hurt my shoulder the other time and better not to strain it unnecessarily at the moment.
But here is a view of my room. Sharing with 5 others on my last night there.
The pictures are a little blur as my hands were a little shaky when I took it and the lighting were quite poor in the room as there was still someone in there sleeping.
Now here is my messy bed.
Of course I was there for 2 nights and I did went around, but there wasn’t much to see since they are still demolishing buildings around Christchurch and the centre of Christchurch was closed off to the public. So there wasn’t much to do either.
Here is the Botanic Garden, though I didn’t really walk around it, I just went to I-Site to get a bus ticket out of Christchurch. Where to? Well, I shall share that in a moment.
They do have very nice view and walkway as compared to us in Malaysia. But still it is because of the nice weather that made it nice to walk around.
Well I took a short rest and forgive for my fingers intrusion in the picture, still not used to taking pictures using my GoPro Hero 2 yet. Resting why? Well, my shoulders were slightly hurting so I thought why not take a short rest.
While resting I got a few nice shots.
Well, after all that walking, you must be wondering what I was surviving on. Well, I kinda survived on Nutella and bread until I got a bit sick of having sweet breakfast, lunch and dinner, and so I went on to a nearby Pizzeria and gotten myself a cabonara. I choose that because it is more filling that the bolognese.
Now you must be wondering, where I am. Well, I am currently in the state of Nelson, in Central Nelson.
I shall do my best to update on my trip over to Nelson and how much of a not a nice travel it was from Christchurch to Nelson was.
Till next time.
