It was nostalgic to see the hand roll sushi that were made in a cylindrical shape instead of the normal cone shape hand roll sushi. Now where did I see it? Well I saw it when I was at Sushi Q outlet in Publika. What more was the fact that they had a ‘Crispy Chicken Hand roll’, which was something that trigger a whole bunch of memories when I was in Melbourne Australia.
Now looking at Sushi Q concept, it has been adopted from Australia, meaning that it is the concept of a sushi on the go. The only difference about Melbourne and Sushi Q is the fact that Sushi Q has space for customers to sit down and chomp through the sushi that they had bought. Also not forgetting the cute soy sauce container that is handed out when you buy a sushi from one of the sushi on the go establishment.
It looks a little like this~!!
This is certainly a great concept to be brought into Malaysia. Though I would like the soy sauce above though.
Now lets take a look at some of the glorious food that was served.
The Seafood Salad. For the seafood lovers who wants to keep to their green diet.
The Awabi Salad. For a guy like me who doesn’t fancy seafood much, the Awabi tasted pretty good.
Everyone was to snap up the Baby Octopus, which goes to show that it was simply delicious (which I agree).
The Assorted Sushi Set is for those who loves variety. It certainly has a good combination of different sushi and salmon.
The Lobster Mayo Yaki is a good choice as this particular sushi tasted pretty good for me. And it is one of the best sellers too.
Miso soup is also available.
Assorted different sushi. Apparently one of the best seller would be the Butter fish. Do give it a try.
Another set of assorted sushi to choose from.
Awabi Ramen.
Duck Ramen.
The various different hand rolls. There are 16 varieties to choose from, including my favorite, the Crispy Chicken. There is also their best seller the Soft Shell Crab hand roll. Really good stuff.
Mochi.
Sushi Q at Publika @ Solaris Dutamas.
Artsy fartsy deco in the Sushi Q Publika outlet.
Here is the bunch of us taking a photo with the chef and the manager of Sushi Q at Publika.
Sushi Q offers great food especially on the good as their concept is more of self service. Not only that, they are doing their best to go Eco-Friendly at all of their outlets. If you want to find out more, then click HERE to head over to their Facebook page.
So do drop by to their kiosk at One Utama and Mid Valley or visit their brand new restaurant outlet in Publika, Solaris Dutamas and give a try of the Crispy Chicken hand roll. Super highly recommended by me. Sorry no pic of that cos just couldn’t resist eating it before picture was taken.
Check out the gallery below for a whole bunch of pictures of the simply glorious food and the people. It is all thanks to Melissa of Melmonica.com

ok…with that soy sauce u shown above, yeap..i think Sushi Q needs it…next is to come out with something similar but contains wasabi..haha
That soy sauce, would be an added plus for sure. As for wasabi, I don’t really care or bother.
