I know that this a lil late, but I was invited to attend Yuna’s Secret Concert, which was not really a secret after all when nearing the date of the event. It was a nice change from the scene I have been heading to before this, but gotta say, I should not come on time, because Malaysians are known to be late. True enough the event started a bit later than I had expected. This however gave a chance for the late comers to enjoy the concert.

I was not the only one invited as media, as I recalled, those who had attended the DiGi Done Right Camp was there. I doubt I can remember all the names but I can definitely recognize the faces. Gotta improve my memory in terms of remembering names. But it was nice to see some familiar faces there.

Now for the event, it was nice to see Jojo Struys emceeing the event and it was nice to see there were some games played and some lucky people won some awesome prizes, which also include a Blackberry Bold 2 if not mistaken, thanks to DiGi. I now know that DiGi certainly loves to give big surprise prizes when people least expect it and they love giving out phones. DiGi is certainly very generous with their advertising and it is for that reason why I love to be an evangelist for them.

As for Yuna she gave a wonderful performance. Her songs were emo songs which I like. It was around that time that I was also feeling quite emotional. I was busy enjoying the songs. Yuna certainly have a unique voice and her songs were quite special especially with her band performing with her. She also has a very unique dressing, with a very trendy look that has a really modern feel to it.

Not forgetting the fans of Yuna. She has quite a fan base going on with many remembering her songs and some pulling off really good imitation of Yuna. There was even a contest to see who can sing Yuna’s song the best, and I gotta say, I was simply blown away at the amount of talent there are among the crowd, and to see how enthusiastic they were. Their voice certainly gave me the chills.

Yuna songs are not exactly hip and cheery, but I like it that way, and even though the song has an upbeat to it, it still has an emo feel to it. Maybe I relate to it best because I was feeling emo at that point of time.

So I believe that Yuna should receive support from us Malaysians as she is a unique artist who has been traveling the world to get her music around and with the help of technology, YouTube mostly, she was able to gain fans and allowed big names to find her. And now she is being supported by some of the big names in this day and age.

And it is nice to see such a powerhouse after the concert ended during the press conference.
