My Thoughts About Watching Movies In Cinema In Malaysia

Well, I have been going to the cinema quite a fair bit as of late thanks to the opportunity given to me by a major contributor of movie screenings.  But, sometimes I feel that I would not pay to watch a movie in the cinema on a very solid reason.

The main and only reason why I would not pay money to watch movies in the cinema is because of the

With their “assistance”, they have done some major editing to some movies, rendering them unwatchable by my standards as the storyline has been totally ruined by them.  There are even certain movies that does not make the cut and is banned from being screened here in the land of Malaysia.

I have grown tired knowing that movies that enter our Bolehland are being massacred to such extend.  Of course there are many who does not realize of the scenes that were edited out.  However I am sensitive to such things and hold a deep grudge towards that body who massacres the beautiful movies that being made not only here in Malaysia but overseas.

If that is the case, then I would like to work in that body above so that I can watch movies uncensored, uncut and review them and edit the movies according to their standards.

Well, I would then be the hated one, won’t I, but at least I get to watch movies uncut.  Its a huge plus for me.  Oh I forgot to mention that the body above does not only render censoring on movies, but on television series as well.  But that would be another story all together.

So now Malaysia should understand why movie piracy is so prevalent in our country.  If the government knows what is best for them, they better stop the censorship.  Only then I would be ready to part with my $$$ to watch a movie in the cinema.  And to think that the government understands why piracy is so rampant.

But I know that this motion would never see the light of day, ever, but at least my thoughts shall be heard and read.
